Getting Started
How does LaneSkip work?
LaneSkip connects to your Disney account through Disney's official Friends & Family feature—the same way you'd share plans with relatives. Once connected, you tell us which rides you want and when, and we monitor Lightning Lane availability for you. When a spot opens up that matches your preferences, we book it automatically.
Do you need my Disney password?
No. We never see or store your Disney password. We connect through Disney's Friends & Family feature, which only requires you to accept a friend request in the My Disney Experience app. This is the same secure method Disney uses for families to share plans.
How do I connect my Disney account?
After downloading LaneSkip, enter your name exactly as it appears in your Disney account. We'll send a friend request that you accept in the My Disney Experience app. Once accepted, we can see and manage your Lightning Lane plans—just like a family member would.
Can I add my whole family?
Yes! You can add all party members to your LaneSkip account. We'll manage Lightning Lanes for everyone in your group, keeping your whole family's bookings coordinated.
How It Works
What does "scanning" mean?
When LaneSkip is scanning for a ride, we're continuously checking Disney's system for availability that matches your preferences. For example, if you want Space Mountain after 2pm, we'll watch for any slots that open up and grab one as soon as it's available.
How does time improvement work?
If you have a 6pm Lightning Lane but would prefer an earlier time, LaneSkip will automatically watch for better slots. When a 2pm opens up, we'll swap your 6pm for it—no action needed from you. You'll get a notification when we improve your time.
Can you get sold-out rides?
Yes! Lightning Lane availability changes throughout the day as people cancel or modify their plans. We monitor these changes constantly and grab openings the moment they appear—often faster than you could manually.
What if I want to change my preferences?
You can update your ride preferences anytime in the app. Change target times, add new rides, or pause scanning for specific rides—it's all in your control.
Do you book Individual Lightning Lanes (paid rides)?
LaneSkip can manage both Multi Pass Lightning Lanes (included with your ticket) and Individual Lightning Lanes (premium paid rides like Tron, Guardians, etc.). We help you get the best times for both.
During Your Trip
Do I need to keep the app open?
No! LaneSkip works in the background. You can put your phone away and enjoy the parks—that's the whole point. We'll send you a push notification whenever we book or improve a ride for you.
Can I still use the Disney app?
Absolutely. Your Lightning Lane bookings appear in both LaneSkip and the My Disney Experience app. You can use either app to view your return times and check in to rides.
What if I want to manually book something?
No problem. Any bookings you make in the Disney app will sync to LaneSkip. We'll work around your manual bookings and continue optimizing the rest.
What parks does LaneSkip support?
LaneSkip works at all four Walt Disney World parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. We support park hopping too—just set up rules for multiple parks and we'll handle it.
Account & Billing
How much does LaneSkip cost?
LaneSkip offers flexible pricing based on your trip length. Check the App Store for current pricing. We believe the time saved and stress reduced is well worth it for most families.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled through Apple. Go to Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions or Purchase History to request a refund from Apple.
How do I disconnect my Disney account?
Open LaneSkip, go to Settings, and tap "Disconnect Account". This removes the friend connection and stops all monitoring immediately.
How do I delete my account?
Email us at support@laneskip.com with your account email. We'll delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
Privacy & Security
Is my Disney account safe?
Yes. We use Disney's official Friends & Family feature, which is designed for exactly this purpose—letting trusted people help manage your plans. We never have access to your password, payment info, or anything beyond your park plans.
What data do you collect?
We collect only what's necessary to provide the service: your name, email, and Lightning Lane preferences. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I revoke access anytime?
Yes. You can disconnect your account in the app at any time, or remove the friend connection directly in My Disney Experience. Either method immediately stops our access.
